San Francisco, CA, October 15, 2020 — dLocal, the leading cross-border payment platform connecting global merchants to emerging markets, today announced its integration with Nuitée Travel, a cloud-based B2B company that supplies wholesale best-buy hotel inventory to the travel industry, to expand its local payment options in emerging markets, starting in Mexico.

Leveraging dLocal’s best in class cross-border payments platform, Nuitée customers in Mexico are now able to pay with bank transfer and local credit card payments, including Mastercard, Visa, and American Express credit cards issued by local banks, and pay in Mexican Pesos, significantly reducing friction from the checkout experience. In the coming months, Nuitée will also include local credit cards and bank transfers in South Africa.

The integration, which through dLocal’s single API was complete in less than a month, also includes access to all of the 22 emerging market countries covered by dLocal across LATAM, APAC, Middle East and Africa, eliminating the need for additional integrations in the future.

“dLocal exists to solve what has become a major headache for global companies wanting to expand their horizons into emerging markets, and that is payment acceptance,” said Meirav Adi, VP Sales of dLocal. “Nuitée and their global accommodation marketplace is a perfect example of the clients we want to work with. They provide a critical service that keeps global businesses running smoothly, and we’re happy to support their growth ambitions into Mexico, South Africa, and other countries in the coming months.”

“This strategic agreement will help our company grow faster in new markets where our clients, travel organizers, will be able to book local and international hotels with us and pay online in their local currency and preferred payment method,” said Olivier Dheur, Co-founder at Nuitée. “This new payment solution offers a wide range of business development opportunities.”
