Growing global in over 20 countries: and dLocal
How inDrive and dLocal have gone from strength to strength, localizing and simplifying payment methods for drivers and riders alike in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
inDrive, the world’s fastest-growing online ride-sharing service, is known for using a peer-to-peer-based pricing business model, where riders can input their preferred fare and a driver accepts versus an algorithmically adapted one. This unique solution allows for freedom of choice and fairness for drivers and passengers.
Expansion
Driving success throughout emerging markets
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, inDrive has expanded its operations into over 655 cities across 48 countries. With dLocal’s expertise in navigating complexities in emerging markets and expansion, the integration was a success from the start.
Since 2021, the partnership has grown, and dLocal now serves inDrive and its user base in over 20 regions throughout Africa, Asia, and Latin America. And with the projected gross volume of the ride-sharing industry expected to hit US$437 billion in 2023, inDrive and dLocal don’t expect to slow down soon.
dLocal for Platforms allows inDrive to collect and disburse funds directly through local and alternative payment methods, like PIX, for drivers and riders alike.
Innovation
New solutions and the future
inDrive has recently launched the allin-one solution in Brazil to employ cashless solutions for their rider app. Previously, drivers needed to top up their in-app wallet, rider payments would go to them, and then inDrive would take out their percentage. Now, the process is straightforward. When a rider pays, it goes straight to inDrive, and inDrive then issues the drivers’ payouts – thanks to dLocal for Platforms.
dLocal for Platforms was developed to overcome the process of receiving and distributing cross-border payments to numerous users and is highly beneficial to online marketplaces, ride-sharing, and eCommerce on social media.
